The maize and beans are mixed together in a sufuria or pot… Dried whole kernel corn (maize); rinsed in cold water. Dried beans (kidney beans or similar); soaked in cold water for a few hours, rinsed. 1 Approximately 2 cups of maize.
2 About 1 cup of beans.
3 Take 2 of lit of water.
4 It’s 1 of large onion.
5 It’s 2 of tomatoes.

In a large pot, combine equal amount dried corn and beans. Add enough cold water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook over high heat for ten minutes. Mix maize and beans in a pot.

Step 4 Let it boil till its cooked.
Step 5 Heat your pot on medium heat then fly the onion in the oil.

Step 7 Serve the boiled githeri on a plate and add the greens,tomatoes,onions on top of the boiled githeri.
