3 | Approximately of Palm oil. |
4 | It’s of Roasted chicken or beef. |

6 | Take of Shelled periwinkle. |
7 | Approximately of Crayfish. |
8 | It’s of Black pepper. |
9 | Take of Diced onions. |

11 | Prepare cubes of Seasoning. |

Afang Soup is of Nigerian origin-a much-celebrated recipe from the efik ethnic group in the southern part of Nigeria -and often served at ceremonial occasions such as weddings. Afang soup; a delight to behold and to eat. It is a special delicacy of the Efik and ibibio tribes of Nigeria. Some parts of Cameroon bordering that part of Nigeria also enjoy this delicacy.
Cooking Instructions
Step 1 | Cut your periwinkles at the tail and wash it thoroughly till it's clean. |
Step 2 | Wash your shredded waterleaf thoroughly and place it in a clean pot,put it on fire..allow it to heat up to 5 minutes (it removes excess water from it). |
Step 3 | Add in your washed periwinkle,grounded crayfish,diced ponmo,pepper,appropriate salt and seasoning cubes, and palm oil, then stir the pot,taste to see if the seasoning is okay. |
Step 4 | Allow it to boil for like 5 mi nutes then add in your chicken or meat stock and dried fish..cook for about 10 minutes. |
Step 5 | After 10 minutes add your pounded or grinded afang leaf and stir together. Allow it to cook for 2minutes then put it down (so that the afang won't get over cooked). |
Step 6 | Serve with eba,fufu,semi etc. |
